What is the absolute dry sludge volume?

absolute dry sludge volume

The absolute dry sludge volume is the amount of sludge in wastewater that contains no water at all. This parameter refers to sludge that contains no water at all. The amount of water treated by the equipment is equal to the amount of sludge. This amount of water generally refers to the amount of water that reaches the sludge tank after the wastewater has been treated by various processes.

The relationship between the absolute dry sludge volume and the treated water volume of the Multi Disc Screw Press and the concentration is that the absolute dry sludge volume is equal to the amount of water treated by the equipment multiplied by the sludge concentration. For example, suppose the treatment water volume of the equipment is 10m3/h, the sludge moisture content is 99.5%, and the relative sludge concentration is 0.5%. The absolute dry sludge quantity of the equipment is 10*0.005*1000=50KG. The amount of water treated multiplied by the sludge concentration multiplied by 1000 is equal to how many kilograms are treated per hour. This is converted to 50 kg/H.

To calculate the treated water volume, knowing the absolute dry sludge volume, the calculation method of the equipment is the absolute dry sludge volume divided by the sludge concentration (1 – water content). For example, if the absolute dry sludge volume treated by the equipment is 60KG/H, the water content is 99%, and the treated water volume is 60/(1-0.99) = 6000KG. One ton is equal to one thousand kg, so it is equal to 6T/H.
